How Can I Help? Ways to Support GFLP

We’ve had lots of folks ask how they can be a part of the Gardening For Life Project movement.

How can I volunteer? How can I spread the word? How can I share an idea that I have?

How can I donate money?

We LOVE that our community is behind GFLP and that folks do want to jump in and help! So, let us answer your questions.

How can I volunteer?

A bit of backstory - as some of you know, the GFLP team is a handful of folks who are passionate about restoring and protecting habitat. The day to day logistics, programming, and planning happens with us when we can gather together over a cup of coffee and dream and scheme things up. Beyond that, we have amazing volunteers who pitch in for special events and such. If you would like to be on the list of volunteers please let us know. You can email corriewds@gmail.com and indicate “I’d like to Volunteer” in the subject line.

How can I help spread the word?

It’s simple - just tell folks about us or invite them to an upcoming event. We also have a Facebook page we invite you to Like/Share.

How can I share an idea that I have for future programming or website content?

We’d love to hear from you! Email Corriewds@gmail.com with “GFLP Ideas” in the subject line.

How can I donate money to help cover the costs of community events?

Working with our community Partners, we have been able to offer all events free to the community. We plan to continue that tradition!

Regarding funding, in the short run, if you are a fan of our work and would like to contribute financially to the cause of promoting native plants and healthy habitats we’d like to suggest the following organizations:

Conserving Carolina

Wild Ones WNC Chapter

NC Native Plant Society - Land of Sky Chapter

SC Native Plant Society - Upstate Chapter
