Native Plant Sale Coming to Tryon, NC!

The Gardening For Life Project team is excited to announce that native plants are coming to Tryon, NC in September, 2023.
Here is a bit of background: One of the biggest take-aways from our March 4th, 2023 Gardening For Life Celebration was that many community members want to plant more native species but they can be hard to find (and, it can be challenging knowing what to plant where). We agree, so we decided to do something about it.
In cooperation with Tryon’s Downtown Development Association, we will be hosting the 1st Annual GFLP Plant Sale on 9/22 from 4-7 in Tryon. We will be a part of the festive “4th Friday” event in September.
4th Fridays are monthly strolls held in Downtown Tryon during the months of February-November where shops stay open later to bring in more guests after work hours. Many of our shops and restaurants have specials, live music, refreshments and more. Shop, dine and play in Downtown Tryon with great restaurants, shops, galleries and the fully restored historic movie theater.
On 9/22 this event will also feature native plant growers from across the region offering the best of the best in native plant selection and quality.

Save the date and then come out and join us for the festivities. You’ll have an opportunity to learn from some of the best growers in our area and to purchase some native plant gems!
