Bells Creek Wildflower Farm
Upstate Native Plant Nursery and More
Bells Creek Wildflower Farm is a native plant nursery located in Walhalla, S.C and is the creation of S.C. Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Cheryl Murphy.
Reflecting Cheryl’s passion for native plants, Bells Creek specializes in a wide variety of native shrubs and perennials propagated with pollinators and wildlife in mind. Her selection features dozens of pesticide-free plant varieties native to the Carolinas.
The farm operates by appointment during the week and often appears seasonally at local markets like the Foothills Heritage Market, during the growing season.
Planting Community Through Festival Culture
At Bells Creek Wildflower Farm Cheryl doesn’t just growing plants — she grows community awareness about the vital role native plants play in healthy ecosystems. Case in point - in 2025 she helped to organize the Golden Corner Native Plant Festival with fellow gardeners Laurie Churchill and Pollie Moxley. This inaugural event, held at The Farm Center in Seneca, SC, was such a success that the 2nd annual Golden Corner Native Plant Festival has been scheduled for October 3rd, 2026. Festival highlights will include expert growers, educators, and artisans celebrating the natural heritage of the region with plant sales, educational talks, kids’ activities, and more.
The festival’s emphasis on sustainability and habitat-friendly gardening aligns perfectly with the farm’s mission — turning gardeners into stewards.
